Ain't it the truth? Wishing you all a joyful Independence Day!

Regular readers are familiar with my collections of unusual and funny holiday greeting cards and ads; but unfortunately they've had to wait for a Hub dedicated strictly to the Fourth of July celebrations. I am pleased however to announce that I've finally collected enough items for a post! So, for those who have asked and those who just may be curious, I present the Funny Independence Day Ads and Greeting Cards collection.

For first-time readers of these Hubs, be advised some of these items are humorous, others a little irreverent. But they are all interesting and if you have a good sense of humor, I think you will enjoy them for the strictly entertainment purposes in which I now share them.

GREETING CARDS

This first card is actually very attractive. But I could have sworn Big Ben was located in another country!

Revolutions come and revolutions go...but blood-thirsty murder, mayhem and the guillotine are not exactly what I remember from American history class.

This card has a sweet and to-the-point sentiment...and one perfect for the Obama worshipers amongst us.

Hm! Maybe July 5th was the celebration of the after-signing hangover?

Here is a card apparently for the willing, though perhaps slightly reluctant, patriot.

Yeah, ok..this sentiment at least sounds familiar!

Because nothing says Happy July 4th like the American bald peacock bearing a gram of god-knows-what...

Ah ha! Here is our Bald Eagle! And he's obviously come bearing a friendly greeting for our beloved Internal Revenue Service.

Ah, a card that must have been designed by our good friends at Homeland Security!

ADS

If you thought yard sales were just for boring old married couples, think again...

Because nothing says Patriotism like American-Made-only merchandise...

I hear the gal that responded to this ad was a real powder-keg...

And speaking of powder-kegs...this ad reminds of us to handle old, unpredictable and volatile fireworks with utmost caution! You just can never tell at what moment they'll blow up, leaving a foul, fuming stench in their wake!
